See the Grand Canyon by River Trip

You can see the Grand Canyon by river trip in a variety of ways. From half-day to 3 weeks long, smooth or whitewater, there's probably a float trip to suit your style and budget.

Both private and commercial river running is allowed in the Canyon. Private trips require approval and there is a long wait time.

Commercial river trips are the most common. A typical Grand Canyon by river trip begins from Lee's Ferry. Rafters head down the river toward Phantom Ranch, sometimes they hike out from there! More often though, transportation is supplied at the end of the trip.

Papillon will set you up on a Grand Canyon by river trip. They're a well-known operation that have will take good care of you on your adventure.

You might also want to check out my main rafting page: Grand Canyon River Rafting. You'll find descriptions of boats and trips that will give you an idea of what to expect on your float trip.

So dust off your life jacket and hit the rapids. Just remember, whitewater ain't for sissies!
